Climate Countdown – Film Screening & Panel Discussion

November 15, 2015 @ 4:30 am - 6:00 pm

Free

Our window to engage the public in shaping global climate change policy is closing. In December of this year global leaders will gather in Paris for COP21 to decide what our future is going to look like – but most citizens don’t even know this is happening. We must bridge the gap between the “policy makers” and the public.

Climate Countdown is a media project that equips its viewer with the knowledge, vocabulary, and tools to have a voice in building political will to avoid a global climate crisis. This web-series makes the acronym-laden process of climate change negotiations digestible and shareable. By mapping out climate solutions, each episode cultivates awareness, encourages hope, and empowers the audience to act.

Join us for the first screening event of the Climate Countdown webseries at Columbia University. The event will showcase episodes from the series, as well as two seperate expert panel discussions on the webseries and climate media at large.
