Come Out & Play 2017

July 21, 2017 - July 22, 2017

Come Out & Play returns to New York City in 2017 for a 12th year of extraordinary outdoor games.

We’ll take over DUMBO on July 21 with an evening of street games and play. Then we’ll move the fun to Governors Island on July 22 for a day of new sports and family-friendly games.

Charge up your phone, lace up your running shoes and get ready for another two days of wild new games and playful experiences.

After Dark
DUMBO, Brooklyn, July 21 from 7 PM to 10:30 PM
Each year After Dark turns the city streets in a particular neighborhood into an arcade with social party games, large physical video games and wild new street games. After Dark showcases street games and technology enabled live-action game experiences. This year After Dark returns to DUMBO where it will light up the Manhattan Bridge Archway Plaza (just across from 155 Water Street).

Field Day
Governors Island, Nolan Park, July 22 from 11 AM to 5 PM
Field Day showcases spectacular new field games & sports for adults to play. Now an institution within Come Out & Play, the Field Day in the Parade Grounds on Governors Island is your chance to play wild new sports and giant game spectacles with the skyline of New York City as your backdrop.

Family Day
Governors Island, July 22 from 11 AM to 4 PM
Come Out & Play Family Day offers games designed specifically for families and children of all ages, brought to the festival by ESI Design, one of the world’s foremost experience design firms. All of the games connect together with a fun story line about Time Travel — complete with an official Time Travel Agency, games throughout time, a growing timeline, and imminent threats to the space-time continuum! Play just one or two games, or try them all of for an epic Time Travel adventure.
