Community Volunteer Day
October 21 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Stuyvesant Cove Park is an all-native plant, organically maintained public park located on the East River between 18th and 23rd Street. Regular volunteer events are held monthly from April through November. Come learn about gardening and New York City’s unique local flora while taking in the fresh air, building community and getting your hands dirty! These events are great for people of all ages, abilities and levels of experience.
Volunteer activities include weeding, mulching, planting, watering and other light clean up and maintenance tasks. We also provide free workshops during select volunteer days to teach proper pruning techniques and other more specialized skills.
All volunteers should wear closed toed shoes, clothes they don’t mind getting dirty, and bring water bottles. Pizza lunch is provided for all volunteers, compliments of Solar One.
We meet at the Solar 1 office just south of 23rd street at 10am on volunteer day.
Please contact email@example.com for more information and to RSVP to volunteer events.
