CUSP Ask a Climate Scientist Fall Edition

October 13, 2016 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Free

Fall has begun, which means that not only can you order your favorite pumpkin treat, but you can ask CUSP climate scientists your favorite fall science questions.

This hangout will start with a review of the past summer, which featured above average temperatures and extremely dry conditions. In fact, some locations in the Northeast are classified as experiencing “extreme drought”. Curious to hear if the warmth will continue, or are colder, wetter days in store? A seasonal forecast will be provided for the next few months, with an early look at winter. As we think about how climate change may impact our cities, it’s important to remember that we aren’t the only residents. Our ecological systems are also at great risk, and on this hangout, we’ll take a look at the impacts of climate change on the animals and plants that share our urban homes.
