Fashion Revolution Day: True Cost Film Screening & Clothing Swap!

April 28, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

The 2013 Rana Plaza building collapse was a structural failure that occurred on Wednesday, 24 April 2013 in the Savar Upazila of Dhaka, Bangladesh where an eight-story commercial building named Rana Plaza collapsed. With a death toll of 1,130 and approximately 2,500 injured it is considered the deadliest garment-factory accident in history, as well as the deadliest accidental structural failure in modern human history.
Every April, Fashion Revolution Day brings everyone in the fashion value chain together to help to raise awareness about the ethical and environmental challenges of the fashion industry.

This year, join the BF+DA on April 28th, for a film screening of Andrew Morgan’s The True Cost movie followed by a clothing swap.
Meet new friends, old friends and maybe even take away the base for a new ethical relationship YOU might want to have with fashion. All leftover donations will be taken away and recycled by Brooklyn-based Wearable Collections.
