The Earth Institute and the School of Professional Studies MSSM Practicum presents “Making Cities Healthier, Resilient and Sustainable”, with Emily Maxwell, New York City Program Director, The Nature Conservancy.

Emily leads the Nature Conservancy’s initiatives in New York City and other New York urban areas. She previously served as the Associate Director for the Northeast Region and Diversity and Inclusion for the National Wildlife Federation, and also worked with Gateway National Recreation Area in Queens, New York, to create a series of volunteer days aimed at restoring the Jamaica Bay area following Hurricane Sandy.

This guest lecture will delve into strategies for improving the management of natural resources in New York City.
