The organizers of the People’s Climate March (now the People’s Climate Movement) are calling for a National Day of Action this October 14 to demand bold action on climate change.

Our People’s Climate Movement Pop-Up at the Flatiron Plaza will be a central location where people can show their support for climate action in 60 seconds or less.

The pop-up will include:

• Information booths you can sign petitions of support, access social media tools, and find resources on getting more involved.
• Photo booths where you can take photos with People’s Climate Movement-themed displays and then share on social media.
• Opportunities to volunteer on site.
• Opportunities for the media to get more information on the message behind the People’s Climate Movement and the upcoming climate talks in Paris.

BACKGROUND: This December in Paris, nations will meet again to negotiate a United Nation’s climate agreement that commits all countries to address climate change. Therefore, this fall we will continue to build a powerful movement for change and bring the demand for bold action to our leaders in anticipation of the Paris climate talks. As part of the October 14 efforts, we will create a People’s Climate Movement Pop-Up activation at the Flatiron Plaza to engage as many people as possible in the climate conversation.
