Photo Poetry: Finding Inspiration in the Urban Environment w/ Miska Draskoczy

October 22, 2016 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

The world around us offers endless opportunities for inspiration if only we take the time to stop and look… and write. We’ll be using the combination of instant photography and poetry to explore the rich fabric of our urban environment. Part neighborhood photo walk, part writing workshop, no prior experience is necessary, just an openness to experimentation, play and collaboration.

Please bring a notebook as well as an instant camera (and film) if you have one (Fuji Instax or similar). We’ll also have a few cameras available to share.

Miska Draskoczy is a photographer and writer whose forthcoming photo book, Gowanus Wild, examines nature and wilderness in the industrial environment.

Meeting Location: Whole Foods Esplanade, SW Corner (near the water), 214 3rd St, Brooklyn 11215
