Local foraging expert and author Leda Meredith talks about her new book Preserving Everything: Can, Culture, Pickle, Freeze, Ferment, Dehydrate, Salt, Smoke, and Store Fruits, Vegetables, Meat, Milk, and More.

Join Leda and Slow Food NYC at The Farm on Adderley for some lively discussion on preserving, while enjoying some tasty nibbles and refreshing drinks.

Leda Meredith is a lifelong forager and a certified ethnobotanist. An instructor at the New York Botanical Garden and at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, she specializes in edible and medicinal plants. The author of three previous books, Leda writes a foraging column for the James Beard Award-nominated group blog, NonaBrooklyn. She is the guide to food preservation for About.com.
