Stop ‘N’ Swap in Bensonhurst

August 24, 2014 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Bring clean, reusable, portable items such as clothing, house wares, games, books, & toys that you no longer need, and take home something new-to-you, free! You don’t have to bring something to take something. No furniture or large items, please.

For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, we ask all attendees to abide by the following Rules of Conduct at Stop ‘N’ Swap®.

You can also volunteer at the Stop ‘N’ Swap. To do this, you must register at the GrowNYC volunteer page. If you volunteer, you can help GrowNYC create an event where people find things they need and reduce waste!

As a volunteer you will help receive, sort, and display the gently used items that people bring. You might also help keep areas neat, take pictures, or help promote some of the other great work GrowNYC’s Office of Recycling Outreach and Education does!

17 volunteers are currently needed. For volunteers, the event organizer is TK Zellers, who can be contacted at tkzellers@grownyc.org or with the phone number 347-852-3823.

Stop ‘N’ Swaps encourage reuse, build community, and reduce the waste NYC sends to landfills. By volunteering you will create an opportunity for people to bring things they no longer need instead of throwing them away, and find things they do want without manufacturing, packaging, or transportation.
