A rainy day in New York can be clean and refreshing or cold and miserable, but fortunately, we stay dry using raincoats, boots, and umbrellas. The city, on the other hand, has to deal with all that water, the products of which include polluting run-off and sewage overflows.

Lenny Librizzi, the Assistant Director of GrowNYC’s Open Space Greening program, will be holding a series of workshops on Stormwater Management, hosted at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in the Watson Education Building. This presentation is geared to both community gardeners and homeowners–everyone is welcome!

Learn about “rainwater harvesting, swales, rain gardens, enhanced tree pits, permeable paving, and more,” with the goal of preserving water and preventing run-off. Please note that registration is required: enroll here.
