A Lecture by James Howard KunstlerThis lecture will present an illustrated survey of the economic and social dislocations at hand and the effect they will have on the organization of daily life in a post-techno-industrial future. This includes a discussion of the link between energy and capital creation; the linked issues of wishful thinking and techno-narcissism; and the circumstances bearing down that will compel us to live differently if we expect to remain civilized.

Mr. Kunstler is the author of The Geography of Nowhere, Home From Nowhere, The City in Mind,The Long Emergency, and Too Much Magic, as well as the four-part World Made By Hand series of novels, the latest of which is A History of the Future.
