The future sea level in Lower Manhattan

A new, higher sea level projection for 2100 (or following decades) is illustrated above, using Climate Central’s new Google Earth application. Join City Atlas on our 2017 Jane’s Walk: The future sea level in Lower Manhattan.
We’ll meet at 3PM on May 6, at the NW corner of Barclay Street and Church Street in Tribeca, a block north of the World Trade Center site.
Our reference for this event will be the C40 Cities report Deadline 2020, which shows how rapidly we must lower our individual and collective emissions in order to meet the targets that preserve New York City.
We’re glad to have Catherine McVay Hughes with us this year. At Community Board 1, Catherine led the community task force downtown working with the City on coastal resiliency.
