Tree Giveaway with SCA

April 22, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Free

Join Student Conservation Association and the New York Restoration Project to help ConSERVE New York City this Earth Day!

Together, they will giveaway 250 trees to NYC residents like you! Sign up to take home one of nine native tree species, including Tulip Poplar, Serviceberry, Black Tupelo, and more! To pick up a free tree, you must agree to:

– plant in one of the five boroughs;
– keep trees properly watered and maintained;
– and plant your tree in the ground of your yard or community garden and NOT along streets or in city parks.

Please RSVP  for your free tree! Note: There is a two tree maximum for participants in giveaways this year. Family members must be present to claim their own trees.

Come for a tree but be sure to stick around for the festivities, workshops, and service opportunities. With support from American Express and Southwest Airlines, SCA is bringing together hundreds of families and community members for volunteers projects and activities at Riverbank State Park in Manhattan. NYRP will also raffle off a worm bin compost system after our workshop on Vermi-Compost at Home!
