Urban Bay: Eyes Wide Open Under Rio de Janeiro’s Ocean

June 9, 2017 @ 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm

In alignment with the United Nations Ocean Conference in June in New York City, the Columbia Global Centers I Rio de Janeiro, the UNDP World Centre for Sustainable Development, the RIO+ Centre and the School of Engineering and Applied Science of Columbia University will host the world premiere of URBAN BAY, a documentary by Ricardo Gomes.

The film highlights marine life closest to urban coastal areas. By demonstrating that life still does exist in the waters closest to the cities, this documentary brings motivation and inspiration for proper management and conservation in support of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.
