The Field Guide to Renewable Energy Technologies is an amazing new resource developed by Land Art Generator Initiative (LAGI).  The field guide details renewable energy technologies, ranging from simple to complex, in a structure that makes the information accessible to a variety of readers.  LAGI intends for the field guide to be a resource for, “designers, homeowners, urban planners, students, artists, architects, landscape architects, engineers, and anyone else interested in a clean energy future.”

This resource could be very useful for designers entering the LAGI energy design competition for Freshkills Park on Staten Island.  The ideas competition is for the design of site-specific public art that has the ability to harness clean energy from nature.  The design competition deadline is July 1, 2012.
