NYCWaste­Less: NYC Com­post Project

The NYC Com­post Project was cre­ated by the NYC Depart­ment of San­i­ta­tion in 1993 to pro­vide com­post edu­ca­tion and out­reach to NYC res­i­dents, non­profit orga­ni­za­tions, and busi­nesses. Most of the suc­cess­ful community-based com­post­ing oper­a­tions in NYC have received tech­ni­cal assis­tance from the NYC Com­post Project.
