DESCRIPTION:Photo Credit: http://docentour.com/gct/ \nIn celebration of Grand Central Terminal’s centennial year\, MTA Metro-North Railroad has teamed up with The Municipal Art Society of New York (MAS) and Orpheo Inc. to provide new daily docent-guided tours of the terminal. The 75-minute tour\, departing daily at 12:30 p.m. from the Terminal’s Main Concourse\, is led by MAS-trained docents and highlights the history\, architecture and operations of one of the world’s biggest train terminals. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors\, students\, children under 10\, members of the military\, Metro-North riders bearing same-day ticket stubs\, and MAS Members. Space is limited.

The night will progress with live performances by different local Hip-Hop artists delivering rhythm and rhymes reflecting a Bronx state of mind. Come check out some of the best the Bronx has to offer in hip-hop\, dance\, and spoken word. The event begins with a mixer and light refreshments. \nFeaturing: DJ Enygma\, Division X (Hip-Hop)\, Flaco Navaja (Vocalist/Poet)\, Circa ’95 (Hip-Hop) \nFOLLOWED BY…. \n“Bronx Through the Eyes of a Garden”\n 8:30pm – 10:00pm \nArt Jones\, a multimedia visual and sound artist\, will create an exciting performance using film\, video\, audio devices. Projected through a system of hybrid media consisting of multi-directional speakers and central sound\, recordings of the garden will be mixed with beats and melodies associated with the borough\, and played along with a video montage of historical Bronx images\, digital animation\, and footage of the surrounding neighborhood. \n* This performance is preceded by Circa ’95\, as part of the “Bronx Raised” Hip Hop Series. \nPresented in partnership with The Bronx Museum of the Arts.
