SUMMARY:Inwood Canoe Club Open House
DESCRIPTION:Image credit: newyorkoutrigger.org \nEvery Sunday from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend\, the Inwood Canoe Club invites members of the public who can swim to join them for a guided\, 20-25 minute kayak tour of the Hudson River just north of the George Washington Bridge. The ICC paddles from 10:00 to 12:00\, but guests are asked to arrive between 9:30 and 11:15 to ensure they get a spot. No prior experience is needed\, and all equipment is provided. \nOpen House is first-come\, first-served; The Inwood Canoe Club does not take reservations. You absolutely must be able to swim. No pets\, please\, at the Open House. They supply boat\, paddle\, and lifevest. Wear shoes and clothes that can get wet. Don’t bring many valuables; you will need to leave them at the boathouse or supply your own waterproof bag for them or risk their getting wet. The ICC requests an insurance fee of $4 for one Open House or $15 for the whole season\, and they pass the whole fee on to our insurer. People under 18 must bring a parent or guardian. Whether a minor will be allowed to paddle depends on conditions that day and on the discretion of the club member running the Open House.
