DESCRIPTION:Photo Credit: http://www.rpa.org/ \nRide with the NYC DOT to the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge! \nParticipants will ride on a combination of bike lanes\, city streets\, and off-street paths (including the Jamaica Bay Greenway) to the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. At the Refuge\, the American Littoral Society will provide a free guided tour\, lasting about an hour. After the ride\, bike home on your own\, or follow a ride marshal to the Broad Channel A train. Children welcome\, but must be accompanied by an adult.

You don’t have to bring something to take something. No furniture or large items\, please. \nFor everyone’s safety and enjoyment\, we ask all attendees to abide by the following Rules of Conduct at Stop ‘N’ Swap®. \nYou can also volunteer at the Stop ‘N’ Swap. To do this\, you must register at the GrowNYC volunteer page. If you volunteer\, you can help GrowNYC create an event where people find things they need and reduce waste! \nAs a volunteer you will help receive\, sort\, and display the gently used items that people bring. You might also help keep areas neat\, take pictures\, or help promote some of the other great work the GrowNYC’s Office of Recycling Outreach and Education does! \n16 volunteers are currently wanted. For volunteers\, the event organizer is TK Zellers\, who can be contacted at tkzellers@grownyc.org or with the phone number 347-852-3823. \nStop ‘N’ Swaps encourage reuse\, build community\, and reduce the waste NYC sends to landfills.
