Field Guide printed

We put together a field guide to phytoremediation based on our research and experience at La Finca del Sur this summer. It’s a 40+ page booklet that translates a lot of scientific research into comprehensible language and graphics. Like for instance,

Where did the contamination of soil come from to begin with?
What plants work best to remediate lead, arsenic or petroleum?
What happens in the plant, when it “phytoremediates”?

Phytoremediation is not magic and it doesn’t work everywhere, but this booklet is designed to help community groups and citizens to be educated and start the conversation about phytoremediation as a more sustainable alternative to brownfield remediation.

We will distribute the guide free of charge at our upcoming events and at La Finca next summer. Contact us, if you like a copy.
