nav-volunteer

Volunteer with Natural Areas Volunteers at Van Cortlandt Park to help protect our young trees from deer browse. Volunteers will be trained in basic tree identification and proper fitting and installation of tree guards. These tree guards will prevent deer from rubbing and feeding on young trees. Come dressed in sturdy boots or shoes and warm clothing that can get dirty. Please meet your NAV Technical Leader at East 238th Street and Van Cortlandt Park East.

Space is limited. Registration is required for this event.

Please see the Parks Department’s website for more information.
