Join Columbia Business School Alumni Club on April 1st for this panel discussion about achieving an ethical electronics value chain, from raw materials to disposal. Their expert panel will discuss sustainability issues surrounding conflict minerals, labor conditions and e-waste, as well as illustrate business cases for electronics companies leading the way in sustainable practices. The discussion will also highlight business opportunities to close the gap in achieving an ethical electronics life cycle.

Additionally, the panel will examine bottom-line priorities and how they impact sustainability. How does Apple CEO Tim Cook’s recent pushback against shareholders, who want to eliminate sustainability programs not explicitly profitable, affect Apple’s business strategy? Will his public stance ripple out to other electronics companies?

**Bring your unwanted electronics for recycling by the Lower East Side Ecology Center. They’ll be taking in cell phones, tablets, laptops, e-readers, PDAs, pagers, video-games, peripherals (keyboards, mice, cables, cords, chargers, etc.), network devices (routers, hubs, modems, etc.), and other small items.**
