Wine Bottle Hydroponics

March 19, 2016 @ 1:00 am - 3:00 pm

$36.87

Want a little green in your life but have a troublesome black thumb? This growing and upcycling workshop is for you!

In two hours, we will transform egg cartons, old cotton clothing, and glass bottles into beautiful hydroponic planters. We’ll start the planters with microgreen seedlings, then start seeds of your choice. You’ll take the seeded grow cubes home with the hydroponic planter. By the time the lettuce is ready for harvest a few weeks later, your seeds will be ready for transplant!

Come with a habit of forgetting to water plants, leave with a self-watering planter and a bunch of yummy things to grow in it.

PLEASE READ:

Accessibility: There is a short set of stairs leading to our building’s front door (5ish steps). Resistor is located on the fourth floor. To use the elevator, ring the buzzer and a member will bring the freight elevator down.

NYCR events are 18+. See full code of conduct here.

Bring your own wine bottle if you want to make more than one planter.

Course proceeds will be donated to Engineers for a Sustainable World NYC (esw.nyc).
