Turn & Learn: NYC Compost Project

Enjoy the fresh air and beautiful surroundings while working on the NYC Compost Project demonstration site. Learn sustainable landscape management practices and help us make compost. Bring a water bottle, wear closed-toed shoes ,and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Registration requested. This event takes place on the first Wednesdays of the month, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and the second and third Saturdays of the month from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Forest Crew is open to community members who wish to drop in and volunteer on a weekly, bi-monthly and monthly basis. Join TRASH HERO New York, in partnership with Riverside Park Conservancy and NYC Parks, to clean up the Hudson River shoreline in Riverside Park South.  Volunteers give back to the community each month by helping remove marine trash from the Tidal Cove and park's shoreline. Closed-toed shoes are required. All materials provided. We look forward to cleaning up the waterfront with you!
