Come enjoy this free kayaking event hosted by the Long Island City Community Boathouse (LICCB) with help from the New York City Water Trail Association, Urban Swim, Lower East Side Ecology Center, SWIM Coalition, and the Gowanus Dredgers Canoe Club, Solar 1, and NYCEDC!

Sty Cove is snuggled in the bend of the east river, making it a great event to try out kayaking due to the weaker currents! However, participants must know how to swim, be at least 18 years old, or accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Equipment is free! First-come first-paddle basis!
