The annual NYC Trashion Fashion Show will be held in collaboration with Evergreen Design Co on Saturday, May 31st at the Brooklyn Grange in the Navy Yard. The event strives to inspire through recycled design and leave the attendees feeling more empowered and aware about recycling, reusing and reducing waste. This event creates a direct connection for students and professionals to use clean waste from the community that otherwise would be in the landfill, to create works of art.

The event will feature a recycled creative runway with designs by local designers, along with high school-middle school students from NYC. Hosting 25 models and designs that will make you rethink the way you view trash. The Brooklyn Grange will be transformed into a underwater recycled seascape thanks to local artist Nina Salazar of Studio N111, in collaboration with other artists and students.

This event is a community-driven effort to promote environmental awareness and support the local NYC arts scene. Event proceeds will support NY Sunworks.
