The Architectural League of NY is sponsoring a discussion Wednesday Feb, 15 entitled “Beyond Shelter: Architecture and Human Dignity,” which deals with the ways in which architects and engineers can significantly impact disaster relief throughout the world. The discussion will be led by Marie J. Aquilino, professor of architectural history at the École Spéciale d’Architecture (ESA) and editor of Beyond Shelter: Architecture and Human Dignity and will include Michael Murphy, founding partner and Executive Director of MASS Design Group and Maggie Stephenson, senior technical advisor for Haiti at UN-HABITAT.
