The TED organization, famous for the endlessly fascinating TED Talks, has announced the winner of its 2012 TED Prize: The City 2.0. The annual prize is a grant that goes to an individual or organization with “One Wish to Change the World.” The prize looks to take advantage of the wide-ranging TED network to collaboratively help address an important issue. This year’s issue is that of urbanization, with a City 2.0 website that seeks to connect people, resources, and ideas within cities all around the world. Check out the video for it and some thoughts from TED Curator Chris Anderson on why cities are so important to the world’s future, via Huffington Post.
