The Active Citizen is excited to volunteer with Harlem Grown on July 29th! Harlem Grown is an independent, non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire youth to lead healthy and ambitious lives through mentorship and hands-on education in urban farming, sustainability, and nutrition. Join us as we volunteer at their urban farm. We will be doing weeding, seeding, building, raking, and composting. It will be a great way to get your hands dirty and provide strong, direct service to an awesome community organization. 

In addition to the service, participants will also have the opportunity to meet like-minded New Yorkers who are passionate about social change.
