This Friday, the Museum of Biblical Art will host a new exhibit titled, “As Subject and Object: Contemporary Book Artists Explore Sacred Hebrew Texts”.  The exhibit will feature work from fourteen contemporary book artists, inspired by the bible and other ancient Hebrew texts.  Some examples of work are from Andi Arnovitz, who created a vest of tiny scrolls from torn pages from prayer books.  Also featured is David Wander, who illustrates the story of Ruth in a twenty-four foot long accordion-style book.
