The Brooklyn Farm Crew is having its next farm day of the season! We are excited to join the Youth Farm for one of their monthly volunteer opportunities. We will volunteer from 10am-12pm, then enjoy some lunch together on the farm.

The Youth Farm is an education-focused production farm in Brooklyn that offers New Yorkers opportunities to increase their knowledge of the food system and build high level organic growing skills to share with their communities. The Youth Farm grows organic food and flowers on one acre for the community and beyond, and offers hands-on farm training and leadership opportunities for youth and adults. It is located on the lawn of the Wingate Campus, and is partnered with the High School for Public Service.

Expect to get your hands dirty pitching in on a variety of organic farming activities: composting, seed starting, irrigation, building projects, harvests, weeding and more. Make sure to wear sunscreen and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, and bring water and snacks.

Volunteers must be 18+ years old.
