Forest Crew is open to community members who wish to drop in and volunteer on a weekly, bi-monthly and monthly basis. Priority registration will always be given to regular and repeat volunteers if attendance approaches program capacity. College and high school students, environmental enthusiasts, and those who are looking to enter the green collar field are strongly encouraged to attend regularly and to view this as an apprenticeship opportunity. Consistency will be rewarded.

Why?

To build a more resilient community of citizens who feel connected to their local green spaces and supported by neighbors with similar values.

To improve the health of the forest by identifying and removing invasive plants from our native forest.

To gain hands-on experience, and informal education, to work in the fields of Forestry, Horticulture, and Environmental Science– or as preparation for green-collar employment.
