Go to Governors Island any weekend until the end of September and check out the Sculptors Guild’s “Rising Tide” exhibit! The exhibit consists of projects that are centered around Hurricane Sandy and it’s effects on the artists involved. Many of the exhibits even include objects recycled from Sandy and personal experiences from the artists who were directly effected by Sandy. The exhibit itself is housed on Governors Island which took heavy floodwater surge during Hurricane Sandy but no extreme damage.
