Inwood’s Changing Forest: Tree Inventory, Social and Ecological Assessment

FreeA partnership among the Natural Areas Conservancy (NAC), NYC Department of Parks & Recreation (DPR), and the USDA Forest Service (FS).
Speakers from the NAC, DPR and FS will present preliminary results from the Inwood Hill Park project at the Payson Center. The presentation will include maps and measurements on the trees that have been surveyed for the project thus far, as well as an overview of social and ecological data collection citywide, with an emphasis on Inwood Hill Park’s unique natural areas. In addition, preliminary data from the ongoing four-season survey of park users will be presented.
