L Train Shutdown Charette
June 12, 2016 @ 11:00 am - 6:30 pm
Freehttps://www.vanalen.org/events/l-train-shutdown-charette/
As neighborhoods along the L train brace for an interruption in service of unprecedented scale, this fast-paced competition asks interdisciplinary teams to propose implementable interventions that look beyond shuttle buses and private cars. Participants from both the design and non-design fields are invited to this program that asks how unforeseen design solutions can facilitate easier routes during service shutdowns.
Spectators are invited to watch the presentation of proposals and jury comments, followed by the announcement of a winner. Visit vanalen.org to learn more about team registration and event time and location.
