In preparation for the parade, children and their families are invited to repair their bikes with Recycle-A-Bicycle; get free helmets and fittings with the Department of Transportation; and decorate their bikes at artist-led workshops. Also bring your gently used, children’s bicycle to donate or swap!

11 AM – 2:30 PM: DOT bike helmet fitting and distribution

11:30 AM – 2:30 PM:  Upgrade your child’s bike at Recycle-A-Bicycle Bike Swap

12 – 2 PM: Bike NY learn to ride class at Rainey Park

3 PM:  Parade along Vernon Blvd. (leaving from main entrance gate at Broadway)

3:30 – 5 PM:  Waterfront Celebration at Queensbridge Park
