Susan Greenfield and Shig Matsukawa, members of the El Sol Brillante and Children’s Garden in East Village, demonstrate how microbes recycle food waste and improve soil, among other ecological uses.

Learn how to recycle food waste at home and make fermentation starters by participating in hands-on activities.
