Saturdays Arty Hours
June 8, 2013 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Go on a scavenger hunt for High Line Art, then create your own masterpiece inspired by New York City’s park in the sky.
With colorful plant life, interesting cityscape views, and site-specific art works, the High Line offers plenty of inspiration for young creative minds. During this weekly drop-in program during the months of July and August, kids and their caregivers are invited to experiment with painting and drawing techniques, and build one-of-a-kind vehicles, forts, structures, and machines with the Children’s Workyard Kit, a crate of kid-friendly planks, nuts, bolts, and other custom materials by industrial designer Cas Holman.
Check back or follow @highlinenyc on Twitter for updates on Saturdays by 8:00 AM.
In the event of rain, or when the 23rd Street Lawn is closed, Arty Hours will take place in the 14th Street Passage, on the High Line at West 14th Street.
