SImagines North Shore Community Planning Workshop: Saturday, April 27th

The workshop will be held at Ralph R. McKee Career & Technical High School, 290 Saint Marks Place, Staten Island, NY from 9:45- 4 pm.
SImagines is a program of the Staten Island Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, in partnership with the Hunter College Department of Urban Affairs and Planning and the American Planning Association. The purpose of this grassroots effort is to develop a shared, unified, community vision of the future Staten Island in the aftermath of super storm Sandy.
AIA Staten Island and Hunter College Department of Urban Affairs and Planning have designed a series of Planning and Reconstruction Workshops with assistance from the American Planning Association, FEMA and The College of Staten Island. These workshops will bring Staten Island residents and community leaders together in a collaborative environment focused on developing a tangible plan for neighborhood recovery.

SImagines is a partnership of AIA Staten Island and Hunter College Department of Urban Affairs and Planning. Collaborating organizations include the American Planning Association and Civic Associations of Staten Island. Assistance is being provided by FEMA, the College Of Staten Island, Hunter College and the Staten Island Foundation, and others. Staten Island residents, David Businelli, AIA, Timothy Boyland, AIA, and Pablo Vengoechea, RA are the Program’s Executive Directors.
