Learn how to convert your yard waste and kitchen scraps into a rich, organic fertilizer to feed back to your plants, just like nature intended. In this hands-on workshop the basics of outdoor composting will be discussed along with issues specific to composting in NYC.

We will also be working on the compost system at La Plaza Cultural and the street trees along the blocks surrounding the garden. Come get your hands dirty and get the neighborhood ready for springtime! Tools and gloves will be provided.
