Summer Streets, a project by New York City Department of Transportation, is an annual celebration of New York City’s most valuable public space—our streets. Summer Streets provides space for healthy recreation and encourages New Yorkers to use more sustainable forms of transportation. In 2015, nearly 300,000 people took advantage of the open streets.

From 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., New Yorkers will be able to play, bike, run and walk on the city’s streets—nearly 7 miles along Park Avenue from the Brooklyn Bridge to Central Park.
