TROPFEST is returning to New York this summer! Making the move from Manhattan to Brooklyn, the event will be hosted by acclaimed actor, producer, director, and screenwriter Liev Schreiber on Saturday, June 22^nd in Prospect Park.

Brooklyn’s Borough President, Marty Markowitz said of Tropfest’s move to Brooklyn: “Brooklyn is home to more filmmakers per square inch than just about any place in the world. We’re very excited about hosting this fabulous free festival and look forward to Tropfest returning every year going forward.”

On June 22nd, ease into the day with a FREE 1-hour yoga class which starts at 1.00pm. The class will be hosted by our partner, Prema Yoga Brooklyn, and will be set to some of the most memorable film scores from the past 50 years. Then, at 3.00pm Tropfest New York 2013  kicks off.

A brief overview of the day is as follows*:

1.00pm-2.00pm:      Prema Yoga Brooklyn (set to film scores)

3.00pm:                   Tropfest New York begins!

3.00pm-3.30pm:      Music by DJ Concerned, with MC Yah Supreme and short film content

3.30pm:                   PEOPLE GET READY performance

4.00pm-4.30pm:      Music by DJ Concerned, with MC Yah Supreme and short film content

4.30pm:                   GHOST BEACH performance

5.00pm-5.20pm:      Music by DJ Concerned with MC Yah Supreme

5.20pm:                   BEAR IN HEAVEN performance

6.00pm:                   NEON INDIAN (DJ SET) performance

7.00pm:                   CHAIRLIFT performance

8.00pm:                   Liev Schreiber takes the stage!

8.15pm-9.00pm:      Part 1 – Tropfest New York 2013 Finalists

9.00pm-9.15pm:      Intermission

9.15pm-10.00pm:    Part 2 – Tropfest New York 2013 Finalists

10.00pm:                 Awards presentation

10.30pm:                 Event concludes
