United Nations Environment Program celebrates World Environment Day on June 5th! Since 1973, WED has been the UNEP’s number one occasion for motivating environmental activism around the world. The year 2014 has been designated as the International Year of Small Island Developing States (SIDS), and will be dedicated to raising awareness of the dangers these regions face as a result of global climate change.
