Part of the Fall series, ICP Talks: Climate Change, in this lecture “panelists explore city-level efforts to reduce carbon emissions and fossil fuel consumption, adapt to climate change, and ensure infrastructure resiliency.”
“The City of Townsville, Australia (IBM Smarter City Challenge and research trials in smart water and buildings) and the City of Dubuque, Iowa (IBM Smart City Global Pilot for water, energy, solid waste, transport/health), will be presenting on their shared experiences as Smart Cities. The world renowned Center for Resilience at the Ohio State University will also present on resilience models. Keynote addresses will be delivered by Doris Gonzalez, Director of IBM Corporate Citizenship Office (responsible for the Smarter Cities Program) and Scott Muller, A Senior Scientist for SIS-GIS on his work on low carbon emissions collaborations between national and subnational governments and the UN. The workshops will be held in the historic Gould Memorial Library (GML) at BCC. GML is both a NYC and a national landmark.”
