Join us as we examine the role of urban young people in promoting policy action on climate change. During this interactive event we will discuss how children and youth can and are providing solutions for greater resilience in the urban environment as well as fostering social inclusion.

Urban agriculture is growing rapidly in cities across America. Vacant lots, abandoned green spaces, and urban rooftops are being transformed into productive farms that provide fresh produce and opportunities for healthy activity, income, and many other benefits for urban families.

Women, Climate and Cities: : An Intersectional Perspective

This event will focus on women’s role in raising awareness as well as providing solutions to climate change issues specifically within the urban context.

Participants will examine what women have brought to the table in the climate movement as well as the specific benefits of having a gendered approach to climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies, namely, in terms of disaster risk recovery, green jobs and urban infrastructure such as public transport.
