For those of you who haven’t yet seen Chipotle’s newest ad campaign “Back to the Start,” here it is. This was aired during the superbowl this year and has made quite a stir in the world of food production. Brilliantly set to Coldplay’s The Scientist preformed by Willie Nelson, the ad silently calls for food producers to take it back to the start, and return to the organic ways in which livestock was once raised.
While this post is not meant as an endorsement of Chipotle, the ad definitely deserves a mention as it is one of the first times a large food corporation has called for a change in the way meat is produced. (What’s more, they did so during the most-watched television event of the year. Kudos, Chipotle!)
